Ambrose, author of numerous best-selling history books, described TIMELINE. Steve Ambrose was a six-time TIMELINE contributor. Other notable authors include Albert Castel, Stephen B. Oates, David Plowden, and David McCullough.
TIMELINE is a lavishly illustrated magazine published quarterly by the Ohio Historical Society. TIMELINE's editorial content embraces the fields of history, archaeology, and natural history. Each issue features lively, authoritative, and well-illustrated articles, photo essays, and occasional reviews and special departments.
Since its inception in 1984, TIMELINE has received numerous local, state, and national awards. Among them are Printing and Publishing Executive Gold Ink Award, American Association of Museums Award of Merit, the Ohio Museums Assocation Award for Excellence, Ohioana Library Assocaition Award for Editorial Excellence, Printing Industries of America Premier Print Award, and American Association for State and Local History Award of Merit.
TIMELINE is published quarterly and available as either a stand-alone subscription or as a benefit of some categories of OHS membership.
