Property owners are notified when their property is scheduled on the agenda of the Ohio Historic
Site Preservation Advisory Board (OHSPAB) at least 30 days prior to the meeting. Locally elected
officials are also notified.
Properties located in Certified Local Government (CLG)
jurisdictions are
given a special notification. The municipalities are voluntary partners in historic preservation
and are invited to comment on proposed nominations in their respective communities and must be
notified at least 60 calendar days before the nomination is scheduled to be presented to the
board.
The typical review period for initial drafts is 60 days. The first draft deadline indicates when
the initial nomination should be submitted to begin the review process. The revised draft
deadline is an anticipated date by which revisions must be received. Revisions to nominations
frequently need to be made before they are placed on the board's agenda. Nominations are
scheduled by the staff according to their level of completeness and timeliness.
Deadlines for the 2010 calendar year are as follows:
Please keep in mind that final review by Ohio Historic Preservation Office staff or comments by
the Ohio Historic Site Preservation Advisory Board may require additional revisions to revised
drafts.
