Conversation with Civil Rights Leader Robert S. Graetz
Ohio Historical Center - I-71 and 17th Avenue, COLUMBUS

At the beginning of the U.S. Civil Rights Movement in 1955, Robert S. Graetz was the white pastor of a black congregation in Montgomery, Ala. He also was instrumental in organizing the historic bus boycott sparked by Rosa Parks' refusal to give up her bus seat to a white passenger. In celebration of Rosa Parks Day, the Rev. Graetz will speak at the about his experiences with event moderator and Ohio House of Representatives Minority Leader Joyce Beatty. Admission: FREE. Echoes in Time Theatre presents "'Twas the Night Before Christmas: An Evening with Clement Clarke Moore"

Clement Clarke Moore, a 19th-century poet from New York, talks about his life, family, writing, and the poem for which he is so well known. Echoes in Time Theatre presents 30-minute, solo performances exploring characters from America's past. Mid-Winter Celebrations on the Frontier

Campus Martius invites children ages 6-12 to learn what the pioneers actually did (and didn't do) during the holidays. A Dickens of a Murder Mystery on the Farm

This event has SOLD OUT - This very special holiday event begins with dinner in John Johnston's dining room featuring a seasonal menu from the Johnston era. From there, guests will visit each room of the Johnston home decorated for the holidays. In each room characters will share clues with the guests needed to solve a murder. The evening concludes with dessert by the fireplace in the winter kitchen where the murderer will be revealed. This is a RESERVATION ONLY event

Light Up the Serpent for the Winter Solstice
