Adena Mansion and Gardens Hosting a Pioneer Encampment
Adena Mansion and Gardens will be hosting a Pioneer Encampment in conjunction with the Christian Family Pioneers. The encampment will be will be bringing the Pioneer experience to life, by demonstrating 18th and early 19th skills, arts, and crafts, such as weaving, woodworking, rope, and Shaker box making. There will be numerous other period activities including: Period music performances, shooting demonstrations, and much more. Members of the Christian Pioneers will be selling their crafts to the public. There will be a Non-Denominational Church Service on Sunday at 9am. Food will also be available at the encampment, and there will be a raffle of period reproduction items made by members of the Christian Pioneers.
The encampment will be held: June 19th 9am-5pm, and June 20th 9am-5pm. Admission to the Pioneer Encampment is free! Admissions to the museum and mansion tour are: $8.00: Adults, $7.00: Seniors, and $4.00: Children 6 and up, and free for Children under 6, Ohio Historical Society, and Adena Mansion and Garden Society members. Memberships are available at the Visitors Center.
