History Comes Alive with Echoes in Time Theatre
Ohio Historical Center presents "Mr. Lincoln’s Camera Man"
(COLUMBUS, Ohio, June 9, 2008) – Echoes in Time Theatre at the Ohio Historical Center presents "Mr. Lincoln's Camera Man: An Evening with Matthew Brady" July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31.
Matthew Brady was one of the earliest war photographers. As "official photographer" for the Union Army in the Civil War, he accompanied the troops and recorded the war firsthand. Brady was President Lincoln's camera man.
Mark Holbrook of Columbus (43204) portrays Matthew Brady. Audience members will hear Brady talk about using a Magic Lantern and glass plates, his work on the battlefield and in his studio.
The 30-minute, solo performance takes place each evening at 7 and 8 p.m. Admission to the Ohio Historical Center is $8/adults, $4/students and free for OHS members and children 5 years old and under.
