Quilts Along The Trail June 8 – June 15
(NORWICH, Ohio, June 02, 2008) – Quilts Along The Trail features Southeast Ohio vintage quilts made before 1950 along the National Road for one week only, June 8-15, at National Road/Zane Grey Museum. The quilts in the show were acquired through a call for entries and include a variety of traditional quilt styles.
Visitors to the quilt show also can tour the museum's three exhibition areas: the first explores the history of the National Road, which was the only significant road between the east coast and the western frontier in first part of 19th century; the second highlights national author and Zanesville native Zane Grey, the "Father of the Adult Western"; and the third area displays Ohio art pottery.
Admission to the museum is $7 for adults, $3 for students and free for Ohio Historical Society members and children ages 5 and under. The museum is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. For more information, call 740-872-343 or 800-752-2602.
