In order to be considered an applicant for OHS employment you must follow the following OHS Standard Application Procedures:
- Complete an Application Form (Microsoft Word; 124KB) identifying the specific open position for which you are applying.
- Your application must be completed in its entirety, signed and dated for each open position you are applying.
- You can either download a job application (Microsoft Word; 124KB) here or else obtain one by visiting the Ohio Historical Society's Human Resources Office, Monday - Friday, 9am - 4:30pm, except holidays. If you have any problems downloading or opening this document, you may contact the Personnel Office at applicant@ohiohistory.org and request to have one sent to you. Please specify whether you would like to receive it via e-mail or postal mail.
- You must mail, e-mail or fax your completed application/resume and cover letter to the Human Resources Office, Ohio Historical Society.

Positions are added to the web site as they come open. We do not have a set day of the week in which we post new positions. You will want to review the web site frequently in order to keep abreast of any changes.
The Society does not have a formalized internship program. If you are interested in a non-paid internship, please forward your resume and cover letter stating your area of interest and dates of availability to the Human Resources Office of the Ohio Historical Society. We will then see if the area you are interested in can accommodate your request.
